Our Coaches
Frank is a BJJ brown belt under Prof Marco Costa of Body Of Four and began his BJJ journey in 2015 after studying various styles of Jiu Jitsu and other martial arts since childhood.
Frank has spent the past 6 years developing his own unique approach to coaching at his school/gym/academy “YGK BJJ” fostering the strong sense of community that he brings to Valorix BJJ.
His passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and helping others achieve their goals is evident every time he hits the mat. His dedication to team and personal skills development ensures an outstanding training environment with a focus on competitive strategy and positive outcomes.

Meet Coach Robert Cumming - Partner/Coach at Valorix BJJ
Coach Robert Cumming's martial arts journey began in 1986, sparked by a passion for ninja movies and a resolve to overcome the challenges of bullying. Over the past 38 years, Robert has not only trained hundreds of students but also molded National Champions, achieving the esteemed rank of 6th-degree black belt in Taekwondo. His professional credentials include a Master of Education degree from Queen's University, and he leverages this academic foundation to provide coaching and consulting services, with a strong emphasis on mindset training—a vital skill he imparts to both his students and competitors.
Most recently, Robert's dedication and skill in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu were recognized when he was awarded a Purple Belt with Body of Four. This honor followed a standout performance at the Master Worlds, where he narrowly lost a razor-thin 0-0 match in his second fight to the eventual champion of his division.
Robert has a rich history in Taekwondo, competing at provincial, national, and international levels, as well as in MMA with the Ultimate Martial Fight organization in Quebec. He also coached athletes at who competed internationally and is a former Team Trainer for Canada. He was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2006 and earned his blue belt in 2019.
After a break during COVID, Robert returned to consistent training at YGK Combatives, where he met Coach Frank Scott. To prepare for the Master Worlds, Robert began competing alongside his children. Robert's results:
